I've always wondered, when a boxer has possession of a belt and loses does he get to keep a replica, the original or does he just pass it on to the new champion? Surely sanctioning fees can cover the cost of a belt.
Do boxers keep their belts?

i find it hard to believe the sanctioning bodies would mail them a replica and take back the real belt.
they make new ones -
If he loses they get replicas. Jin Mosley owns Shane's championship belt replicas. If they're lost or stolen pretty sure they can send new copies as well. I think they only have the original out for only the night of the fightComment

You keep the same belt. When the winner gets backstage, they give it back to the loser. In some cases they have a new belt waiting for the winner but in most cases, it gets mailed.Comment

Sad, when your belts are under the control of your divorced wife ... That's like the ultimate insult to injury.Comment
