I hope this means no k9. They said that wouldn't be a ppv fight. Seems like cotto could only fight ppv fights for that money.

I explained the deal recently but I will again. Cotto still picks his opponents and Roc Nation has little say on who he fights. Right now if he fights K9 and say Showtime offers them 5 million for the fight they will pay k9 and take the rest since they are paying Cotto from their pockets not the pockets of HBO or Showtime. Then you can expect Cotto ticket prices to raise considerably so Roc Nation can make up that money at the gate and since I expect them to use barclays center since jay z co owns then you are looking at them saving money on that front.

They will lose some money on that fight but expect them to push for Cotto-Canelo for late in the year and make up for the loss of money now. they are thinking long term.
