What is it with Steve Kim?

I like his youtube channel "Undisputed Champions Network" and he seems alright on there. He seems to be a big GGG fan but often downs other fighters. I haven't seen his twitter account but I hear he posts a lot of nonsense.

That's the thing. I've seen some of his youtube videos and he seems like a jovial fellow, but then he just turns into something else on twitter.

He constantly berates fighters. He said Deontay Wilder proved nothing after he beat Stiverne, he always bad mouths Andre Ward. He said with the Zou Shiming decision today that the judges will "get the decision right" in the future, that they'll, in time, "learn to give the hometown verdict."

He then retweeted an image which mocked Shiming and Freddie Roach in the Shiming corner during the fight using a meme. He seems to be a very spiteful person. You'd expect him to be at least a bit neutral since he writes about a host of different fighters.

Going back to what I said about his negative opinion towards fighters, he then re-tweets tweets from other twitter users who share the same opinion as him. There was even a thread on here recently about him going all out on twitter.

Based on what you wrote about him, I can imagen him as a user on this site.

I met Steve Kim in Puerto Rico for the Juanma-Salido 2 fight the day of the weigh in. He's a cool dude, talked about the Maxboxing days, state of boxing and most important the Miami Hurricanes.

He must post things on Twitter after a couple but that's cool.

Steve Kims a joke. I dont have any fight in me for Cotto, but the way he went in on him for simply signing a deal with someone else was ****ing disgraceful.

I think he's cool, he's a real fan and he talks and writes like a fan would do, nothing wrong about it. Maybe he mocked some of your favourite fighters, don't be mad.

He hates certain fighters, and in general is too pro-Top Rank. But he's not that bad either. He at least seems relatively intelligent which already puts him in the top 10% of internet boxing writers.

All of those guys must be feeling a lot of pressure to kiss ass. They're not just in a dying profession, it's certifiably dead. How many major newspapers carry a regular boxing writer anymore? Do any of them?
