Arum is acting like he's climbed through the ropes before and left his blood on the canvas. Oops...sorry...I forgot that he just stands on the sideline scavenging money off of others spilled blood. Cotto has been a warrior for far too long and deserves to get paid for it. Let's not forget either, that every time the buck doesn't fall Arums way, he cries like a little school girl.

Ya kinda like 50 cent, All his guys just sit around. I'm not a fan of monopolies but until the politics of boxing changes I prefer it controlled by the guys who actually put on fights.Comment

lmaooo fat pig arum is mad cotto wasn't tied to your company you always treated cotto like a step child now he gave you the finger you greedy ******* cotto earned that belt from Martinez and would have gotten the fight either with or without you now you have no super stars in your promotions after pac gets beatComment

Didn't it sell over 4,300 seats with not a single big name on the card? Yeah right...huge loss! I guess it's not as big as when these jackals throw Juan Manuel Lopez to the wolves for a payday.Comment

That's what I like about bob arum he always keeps it real. If cotto swore on his dad he wouldn't leave he should have been a man of his word or at least responded to their phone calls and let them know why he was leaving. Hes just ducking cotto, ggg, and anyone else who could beat cotto and ruin his legacy. Now that I think about it, didn't he punch his dad in the face and disown him for calling him lazy? Maybe thats why cotto didn't keep his word because he hated his father anywayComment

It's not like those fights weren't available with Top Rank.
Cotto's decision seems more about the signing bonus (Rafael threw out possibly $5 million) and the non-boxing stuff (concerts, foundation, etc).
We'll see where this leaves his boxing career.
Kinda curious whether Roc Nation will actually make money from this deal...they're very unproven. Peter Rivera says their NY card lost money, and frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if they end up losing money with Cotto.Comment

The second they said Cotto was going to fight either Bradley or Rios I knew he would run for the hills and posted it. Neither of those guys are disabled. It used to be a joke but I really meant it, I knew he wouldn't fight them. Size advantage or not.Comment
