Regardless of Cotto's quality, he's the third biggest star in the sport, fourth at worst, and this is a major pickup for Roc Nation. One they desperately needed after so many failed attempts with other fighters.

Cotto thinks that signing with Jay Z is going to make him some kind of icon in America. This move is not boxing based because at the end of the day there is no way Cotto is stepping in the ring with GGG or anybody that posses a threat. Hes the 160 pound champion and looking to make fights with junior middleweights and welterweights for close to the same money he was getting paid to fight Canelo without the risk.
