Comments Thread For: Joseph Parker Beats Down Pettaway Over Four

Hot heavyweight prospect Joseph Parker (13-0, 11 KOs) demolished Jason Pettaway (17-2, 10 KOs) in four rounds at the Vodafone Events Centre in Manukau City, New Zealand. Parker took command from the start and never took his foot off the gas. Pettaway was down in the third and again in the fourth.

Parker hopes to be just as active in 2015 as he was in 2014 - when he entered the ring five times and stopped four of those opponents inside the distance - including Irinea Junior, Brian Minto and Marcelo Nascimento. The sole boxer to last the ten round distance is experienced, iron-chinned veteran Sherman Williams.

Just read Parker may be contesting the IBF no.2 spot his next fight, with Glazkov facing Cunningham for the no.1 spot.the winners would make an awesome eliminator for Wlad.

I just read on multiple report sites it is a final eliminator, laughable. Absolutely pathetic fight for an eliminator.

23 years old and knocking out the big boys left and right.

          That Samoan power.

Pettaway is not much more than human punching bag. Parker struggled against old Sherman Williams.

Anthony Joshua has been much more impressive.

They are pushing Parker too quickly.

He's quite skilled too, with good speed.

Pettaway had a beefed up record fighting nobodies. Abdusalamov took care of him pretty easily too. Parker looks good & he got hit once by Sherman Williams & got some nice experience in that fight. Williams is a tough cookie. Parker, Joshua, The Furys, Wilder, Glazkov, etc. There are some good young HWs out there. Who will end up being the best of the bunch in 5 years time? Hard to say at this point...
