Is Mike Stafford a Good Trainer?

What's your opinion on him? The most notable fighter in his stable is Adrien Broner. He has led broner to 3 titles, but Broner seems to struggle when he doesn't have a size advantage.

I say no, he has no control over any over his fighter I remeber when Bennette (stafford trained fighter for as long as broner) was fighting vargas and in that fight stafford was telling him what to do and bennette just kept ignoring him and did what he wanted to do and lost the fight. Same thing happened in the Broner vs Maidana fight, Broner told him to shut up and proceeded to do what he wanted wouldent listen to stafford for shit.

I think he just goes through the motions with the fighters more then actually training them.

He's terrible. He stops constantly while doing the mitts so him and Broner can wank each other off verbally. He's the reason Broner doesn't work 3 mins of a round. It's all about being Flashy and Fast rather than practical.

He's a decent trainer, more noted for his work in the amateur program. I see people hating on him for Broner but that's more Broner not listening and thinking he's the man moreso then Stafford's inability to train. I do however think Stafford should speak up and call Broner out as opposed to just letting him do what he wants. I chalk that up to Broner being his first real big fighter. I talked to him during the Alexander vs Soto Karass fight, he knows his stuff.

Yeah I think Stafford is more like a caring big brother to these dudes than an authority figure they actually respect, they got love for him but they obviously dont respect him enough to listen to him.

He seems to be like a lot of guys, good until a certain point, but maybe not world class. Broner seemed to control the corner against Maidana, not him.

He seems like the type that is able to teach and nurture kids as amateurs and the transition into the pro's. But I don't think he has the personality or training methods to train/coach a world class fighter.
