If Guerrero beats Thurman, what does it effect?

I'm struggling to see how Guerrero wins but it'd mean Thurman isn't as good as most, including myself, thought.

It would mean Guerrero was better than most, myself included thought and Thurman was not as good as most, myself included thought. Thurman is considered better and is about a 4 or5 to 1 betting favorite to win. If Guerrero wins it would be an upset and raise his ranking a lot and lower Thurman's ranking a lot. The way he wins is also important. A KO win would put Guerrero in line for some big fights with guys like Brook and Khan. Any win over Thurman would be a big boost to his career.
