Which is the best domestic/continental level?

Prospects often usually move up during their careers by going through the rungs to world title level, by fighting domestic and continental fights. However, a thought came to me - which of these domestic/continental scenes are the best/most competitive?

For instance, is European level better than North American? Asian/Pacific level and African level are less spoken about and generally produce less quality, so I suppose the argument is between European and North American level, it would be interesting if there was some evidence to suggest fighters at the top of those levels are more successful at world title level eventually.

Also, perhaps we could make a comparison regarding British domestic level and the scene in the USA.

Well, feel free to pick a division specifically and mention which has the best fights. I suppose the easiest one to say would be the heavyweights, and IMO the European scene has the deeper talent, although that doesn't particularly say much as the division is not great at all, especially at the lower rungs.

Where can a fighter have their entire career in one place and actually be 'financially okay'?

If a fighter can stay home, and make a living as a fighter, that 'domestic scene' is a quality one.

Off the top of my head, US, UK/Ireland, Germany, Russia, Quebec, Mexico, Italy, Australia, Ghana, South Africa and Thailand (all to varying degrees and at certain weights) stand out as quality domestic markets.

Can a kid growing up in Turkey pick up boxing gloves, decide to make a career of it, and make it in his home country? Not sure.
