You're probably right, it's a big announcement and I'm sure jay arranged it to build the brand. Boxing is a second tier sport in America, I can't imagine him going on there to announce fighting rios, k9 or khan. The public wouldn't know who they are, or care.

With Cotto's fanbase in NY it could make sense.
