World Boxing Organization light flyweight Donnie “Ahas” Nietes, the longest reigning Filipino world champion looked terrific in sparring over eight rounds at the ALA Gym along Balete Drive on Tuesday evening.
Nietes went eight rounds with the bigger duo of super bantamweights Ralph John Lulu (10-0-2, 5 KO’s) and undefeated John Virgil Vitor (3-0. 1 KO).
Trainer Edmundo Villamor was extremely pleased with the showing of Nietes, indicating all the sacrifices they have made are paying off.
