more ******ity out of emanuel "loser" augustus: "i can beat hatton"

he just lost to a nobody 11 days ago because "he had chicken pox but went ahead and fought anyway". pshh. he's lost 8 out of his last 13 fights. he has limited power. he's short. doesn't have a great reach. he's lost 26 times, and has 6 draws on his "resume". he hangs himself in all his fights. yet he still can't keep his mouth shut long enough to realize he's nothing but a boxing failure.

"To my ********* fans, I would soon believe and hope that ********* would put up a poll that decides who the fans want to see Ricky Hatton fight. I do believe or say that the majority would vote for me and Ricky Hatton to fight each other for nothing less than to prove that Ricky Hatton should fight the man that has given Floyd Mayweather his toughest fight to date and that way he can measure up to see where he stands if he fights me and deals with me. If Ricky Hatton wants to make an impression and make his mark in the United States, then he should come through me. Let the fans speak and put up a poll to see who they want to see in the ring with Hatton."

to clarify, mayweather struggled in much of the fight, but the fight was called in round 9. i'm not a genius or anything, but i thought castillo gave mayweather the most trouble? augustus is the same guy that micky ward tore through like a *****. there's plenty of variables that could have led to mayweather not performing well in that fight, but if this is the only thing this guy has to hold on to out of his entire career, i say hang it up. i don't understand why people still pay this moron to fight (or news outlets like these still talk about him). his brains are all mush anyways

It'll be a good fight though, interesting while it lasts.

I think he's highly entertaining and a damn good fighter- when he is on, which admittedly is hot cold. Yeah, he's got a terrible record, but not everyone is blessed with big paydays, he's had to take tons of fights on short notice, and he's been subject to some terrible decisions.

he just lost to a nobody 11 days ago...
Yeah, and if you'd read any reports about that fight, you'd see almost everyone there thought he got royally screwed. Not only did every press release (that I've seen) say he was the obvious winner but the audience at the fight erupted into a chorus of boos.

Second, Emmanuel is only quoting Mayweather who once said that Emmanuel was probably his toughest fight.

I just dont think its fair to piss on a guy who has dedicated a lot to boxing and is trying (like any other struggling boxer) to end his career with a couple of nice paydays to make it all worthwhile. Ward did the same and rose to the occassion, you never know, maybe Emmanuel could to.

This post couldn't be filled with any more garbage.

-Augustus was seen by majority to be the winner of the Morua fight by several points. The decision will undoubtedly be among the worst of the year. I bet you think Courtney Burton beat him too huh...? This guy and Glen Johnson have been on the **** end of the decision stick more than anyone.

-Augustus was torn up by Ward? Laughable...it was a RAZOR thin fight, Augustus outpunched and outlanded Ward...and again many ringside observers thought he deserved the nod. He was unfortunate to be in Wards territory. I personally had the fight 95-94 Augustus.

-Mayweather still maintains that Augustus was his toughest fight ever, although I believe he just doesn't want to give Castillo any credit.

-Augustus wouldn't play around with Hatton. I believe that Hatton would grind him down later in the fight for a decision, but it'd be a very desirable fight to watch regardless.
