Comments Thread For: Molina Says Style Earned Him Big Broner Bout

John Molina Jr. is 3-4 in his past seven fights, has lost back-to-back bouts and is about a 6-1 underdog entering his fight Saturday night against Adrien Broner.

Those unfavorable figures don’t mean much to the ever-determined Molina. He isn’t about to apologize for landing this high-profile assignment and isn’t bothered by those who’ve said he doesn’t deserve a spot in Al Haymon’s inaugural Premier Boxing Champions telecast on NBC (8:30 p.m. ET).

Gotta love molina for putting it all on the line. This kid is tough as nails and puts on a great show. Hopefully he doesnt suffer too much damage in his career. Rooting for him come this saturday.

Molina's style is tailor made for Broner. Soto outboxed him and Broner is a better boxer and puncher than Soto. Molina has a punchers chance but he's a bit on the chinny side. DeMarco blitzed him in 1 round, Mathysse KO'd him as well. He's had his share of wars.

yes your style of standing right in front of your opponent without throwing punches earned you the bout

Good stamina and conditioning is the key here for Molina to ever have a chance of stopping Broner, which is the only option for a win. Maidana produced a clue and a dominating win. It would have been a KO if they focused on conditioning. Broner has a ****y style. He will stay that way because he's arrogant and likes denigrating his opponents. He won't move around. So the Maidana gameplan still applies. Taylor did it and had some success in slamming Broner on the ropes. The stamina and power was lacking.

Hopefully "The Gladiator" pulls off the upset. Broner needs a fresh serving of humble pie.
