Lightweight contender Diego Magdaleno (27-1) will return to the ring on April 18th on the undercard of the Terence Crawford-Thomas Dulorme fight that will be televised by HBO. The venue for the card will be the University of Texas at Arlington's basketball arena.

According to a recent article by BoxingScene's Steve Kim, the arena will be set up for 5,000-6,000 fans.

Magdaleno, who has won four in row since losing a split decision to Rocky Martinez, said that his opponent will be finalized in the near future.

I doubt this card will do any good in ticket sales. Crawford vs. Dulorme is a mediocre fight, and I'm not sure if anybody in Texas cares about either of them or Diego Magdaleno. Not to mention Canelo vs. Kirkland and Figueroa vs. Burns headline separate cards in Texas a few weeks later.

Once again it seems that a boxing promoter fails in the geography department.
