I was eagerly awaiting for this. Perhaps one of very few on this forum.

A 6 weight kickboxing World Champion or is it 5? Anyways, 2-0 in MMA and now this. Truly the embodiment of the very word athlete.

I had heard he was supposed to make his pro debut in March. I'm looking forward to see how he looks. Spong is a beast and he's been training with Pedro Diaz.

The guys got balls, making his pro boxing debut taking on potentially Alexander Ustinov! Crazy... There will most likely be a HUGE weight disparity too, Spong's a natural 205'er in MMA not looking dry, he'd easily come under Cruiserweight if he wanted

Tyrone Spong won his pro debut by K.O. in the first round. I watched the fight. The commentators didn't even know who he was. They wondered why Spong was making his pro boxing debut at age 29.

It was a terrible mismatch given the circumstances no real complaints.

I'd like to see Spong stick w/Boxing actually for the rest of the year and see where he's at/how he does against better guys.

Spong was always a boxer guy, you have a lot of kickboxer from the dutch gyms who use their hands a lot, they changed the game by adding footwork and western boxing foccus instead of square stance and kick and check and kick and check like basic muay thai.

Spong was supposed to turn pro in boxing when he was like 22 years old he trained with Mayweather sr for a month before his manager told him to just stick to kickboxing.

Badr Hari also was about to turn pro under ****m richardson but got into trouble and went back to kickboxing.

This video was from 7 years ago, Spong should have just went into boxing but it takes awhile to make big money and his managers needed to get paid so they stuck to kickboxing

He fought a complete can who can't even throw a punch and swings like a girl, but Spong has some real power that was a nasty overhand right.

Nate Campbell turned pro at 29 so Spong still can become a star he just needs to fight like 5 to 6 times a year all 4 or 6 rounders to get him comfortable and build his confidence, everyone wanted him to take up boxing 7 years ago wish he would have did it dude has boxing talent for sure

Hari wouldn't of stuck with or done anything in Boxing he's basically just a free-swinging slugger.

But yeah Spong has actual talent not sure what his plans are Kickboxing-MMA-Boxing but he's got options and he's known in Europa
