Comments Thread For: Donaire Aims To 'Make a Statement' in Prado Fight

Five division world champion Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire wants to “make a statement” in his clash with Brazil’s William Prado for the World Boxing Council North American Boxing Federation super bantamweight title at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on March 28.

Donaire told the Manila Standard/Viva Sports he is “a man on a mission” who has realized the mistakes he made in his painful loss to Nicholas “Axe Man” Walters which he “needs to correct.”

Not sure what type of statement he intends to make but his days at the top are over. at 122 Rigo is his daddy. At 126 Walters is his daddy. He can still win one of those alphabet titles but he won't beat the REAL champions.

Donut Aire and Dwarf Dong need to forget about 'making a statement'. Those years are over. Now the statement is 'survive to keep a paycheck coming in'.

Lmao @ "Donut Air, Dwarf Dong". I agree, though, they should look for a different kind of work now. Their gym on Park Blvd near my house is always empty.

Nonito, it's William Prado. Quigg knocked him out in just over two rounds.

It won't be a statement to KO Prado, it's the expectation.
