Awesome fight. I give Reveco tons of crap but he is a solid boxer with a good style and solid variation of punches to the body.

Kazuto looked a bit off in his last fight but I really hope both of these guys show up and put on a show for the fans. I'm leaning on Ioka to secure the win but Reveco shouldn't be overlooked. Glad to see the aging Argentine finally travel after so long.

Maybe the winner can get an Estrada fight later on this year or early next.

Agree with your sentiment but Reveco has defended in France and Japan and fought Rosas for an interim belt in Mexico. Ioka has fought 17 times, 14 times in his birthplace of Osaka and the other three times in Japan. Not exactly a world traveler. They are fighting in Japan because that's where the money is for any fight below about 122 lbs.

Very accurate statement in every aspect. I honestly wish more Japanese fighters traveled as well. I know they go to Mexico from time to time but that's once in a blue moon. Imagine if the talented young men from Thailand, Japan, and South American countries traveled more often. Not only would they develop a new fanbase but they would gain valuable experience in every sense.

I noticed that Mexican fighters tend to travel most. You will see Mexican fighters travel to Japan, Thailand, Philippines, and the US as Champions and defend their titles in foreign soil. Sure they may lose their straps in the process but they have enough confidence to take the plunge.

I usually talk down on Reveco due to his gift decision last year against Alvarado but to say he's not talented would be shortchanging myself as a fan. His last fight was a stupendous display of heart and ability. I really hope both men give their all and we may just be in for something special.

Reveco's body punching is some of the best, and most underrated, in boxing. He's probably KO'd as many guys with liver shots as anybody in boxing.
You're right, Mexicans probably travel as much for big fights as anybody, along with Filipinos. Most Argentines also have to travel for title fights. Narvaez, who defended seven times overseas and Reveco, are probably the exceptions in that they got to fight a good bit at home. Sergio Martinez had to leave the country to make money and get a title shot and fought only once at home, against Murray after he was pretty well shot to hell.
Meanwhile, fighters in the US, Japan and Germany usually can fight all they want at home because they can make good money without traveling.
