Remember when Donaire was going to move up to lightweight and win a belt?

I would rather watch Frampton vs Donaire.

Frampton is a interesting fighter. He has good skills but his biggest victories have come against Kiko Martinez and in my mind Donaire and Rigo put Kiko to sleep if they ever were to fight.

Donaire is seasoned and he's still a dangerous opponent at 122. He probably has the most punching power at 122 and will have a size advantage against anyone in that division.

I think that if Frampton can beat Donaire that will get him ready for Rigo. One thing Frampton doesn't want to do is rush into a fight against Rigo. He needs to go ahead an take care of small potatoes Quigg then fight Donaire and after that go for broke against Rigo. Rigo meanwhile can stay busy in Japan where he seems to be appreciated.

i think if donaires heart is in it, he'd be the only guy right now to have a chance at beating rigo.

donaires first problem was he thought could outbox rigo which was suicide, and he also severely underestimated how good rigo is.

if he goes balls out against rigo, ala maidana, things could get interesting in their rematch, most ppl forget that donaire was landing on rigo, and can hurt dudes ( he almost KO'd walters in their second round)

still tho, donaires looked flabby and uninspired after that fight. so who knows, id still pick rigo by UD or late stoppage.

Ive always thot Donaire was more hype than substance thanks to media exaggerating. I still think so, but he is a good fighter dont get me wrong. My knock on donaire is he relies on his power too much, sits on his shots. His speed and reflexes are there. I think he can make another run but he needs to go back to the drawing board and work on boxing strategy, he was being outboxed by darchinyan for crying out loud. Look at it this way, if he didnt have power what would he have in terms of skills? IDK i just feel he has potential to be better.

Here's a good idea why doesn't Santa Cruz give Donaire a title shot???

            - Donaire has fans
            - Donaire isn't boring
            - Donaire-Santa Cruz will be huge in So. Cal

So what's the excuse now Santa Cruz? How about you defend your title against a actual former champion.

              What's the point?

Rigo already toyed with the P4P version of Donaire and utterly embarrassed him, why now fight the shot version?
