Is boxing the most difficult sport of all sports?

A guy I work with said football is the toughest. I said boxing is the toughest.

Look at how messed up boxing is: A football player loses a game... bummer, oh well... Then when Fernando Vargas loses to Felix Trinidad he is loaded up on an ambulance and the wires in his head are rearranged. Boxing losses can be way, way more extreme imo

Tennis is VERY player friendly to get into, you can become decent within just a few months. Try doing that in boxing/mma

1 on 1 Combat Sports are very Difficult! You don't have a teammate or anything in that ring it is you and your opponent. If you make a mistake Defensively it is nobody to help you cover up mistakes like other sports. On Offense you have to figure out yourself how to attack your opponent. So I would say ABSOLUTELY!

TS seems to be referring to the psychological aspects of the sport, in which case I definitely agree. However, there are certain sports which are slightly ahead of boxing in certain areas; cycling in terms of overall fitness, racket and ball sports in terms of skill areas, etc.

It's still IMO the most difficult sport overall athletically and definitely the toughest psychologically.

Boxing is definitely the hardest sport. In boxing u have no help, when u get in that ring it's just you and your opponent.

No sport is more difficult than the other. When there is another human being on the other side it is always going to be difficult. The very essence of sports is the competitiveness between humans.
