    Frampton Vs. Rigondeaux

Just caught up with Framptons fight last night. It was a great performance and Carl is turning into a bit of a monster with his speed power and boxing ability. After the fight Mcguigan made the claim that they are no.1 in the division and they intend to prove it.

Obviously to do that they have to go through Guillermo Rigondeaux.

Opinion seems to have shifted after last with many, including David Haye, now picking CF to cause the upset.

How do you see this fight going now? I still dont think Frampton has enough to beat Rigo, though his blend of speed, power and chin will make him a huge problem (worse than LSC imo).

Jackal or Chacal? Who ya got?

Rigondeaux beats him on points for me 8-4 fight, hes elite level and frampton t rex arms are too short imo and i could see rigo outboxing him over 12.

Frampton was a bit too open last night, think he was disregarding Avalos' power as when he fought Kiko his defence was much tighter/slicker.

He wouldn't fight that way with Rigo for sure and he's quite good at getting past a jab. Rigo might have a way of discouraging fighters to come forward but Framptons got a solid chin and doesn't mind eating a bit to come forward like he showed last night, punching as Avalos was punching.

You'd have to have Rigo as the favourite but I'm def sticking money on Frampton when this fight goes down.

I think Frampton opened up because of Avalos handspeed and predictability. It seems like alot of folk overlook the fact that Carl is a multidimensional fighter, something Rigondeaux has yet to face at this level of competition.

Rigo is extremely talented but can be tagged as well, and Frampton's power isn't just some bloated figure on a record. He displayed his powerful right hand against Kiko in their first fight and his devastating left hook against Cazares, both which are extremely important tools against a southpaw.

His accuracy is another impressive thing about Carl, he times and launches his attack when the moment is right. Overall I think Rigo is a superb boxer, but Frampton's power and precision will finally kill Guillermo's hype.

I woudnt call Rigo hype, hes proven and Frampton will miss alot of his shots against rigo and even if he lands a few thats not enough to beat an elite level boxer like Rigondeaux.

Avalos and Martinez are come forward fighters which are made for boxer punchers like Frampton. It will be a good matchup but his arms are also too short so if rigo keeps him at distance and controls frampton hell win a decision.

It would be a great fight and I see it being closely contested. Unfortunately we will probably not see it this year as Frampton will likely face Scott Quigg instead.

he said that his plan is to face quigg in the summer and rigondeaux in winter. i see no reason to disbelieve him; he's got to be full of confidence right now

And yet you could put avalos-cazares-kiko inside a blender and will not make a querter of Rigondeaux, picking the Cuban if the fight happens now while Rigondeaux has something left...

I have never seen him fight but he seems to be a great fighter and he might be the only guy who could beat Rigo at 122. Rigo is so good that I have to pick him to win but Frampton might beat him.
