    Collazo camp denies injury!

    By Jason "J-Gon" Gonzalez

"The rumor about Luis Collazo breaking his wrist is completely false," says Nirmal Lorick, trainer of the WBA welterweight champion. "It's a total lie. That might be Ricky [Hatton's] camp's way of turning down the fight. The fight is a go, however we have not received any dollar value. We want to make sure we get the same monetary value for fighting one of the best fighters pound-for-pound. I give Ricky Hatton his props. Ricky is one of the best fighters pound-for-pound, we just want to get paid....There's a $2.9 million jackpot, HBO is putting some money in, what we want is $1 million for the fight. [Monday] the WBA gave us the exemption on making the mandatory against Oktay Urkal." Collazo was slated to face Urkal on May 6. Lorick added that promoter Don King has received an undisclosed offer.

Thanks for the update! "It's a total lie. That might be Ricky [Hatton's] camp's way of turning down the fight." lol **** is funny Collazo ain't scared. Maybe Hatton's camp is realizing this Collazo cat ain't a pushover and can ruin a Hatton Mayweather/Judah showdown.

not kewl. lets wait what the rebuttal from team hatton is. i think that hatton's people aren't going to like giving collazo a million dollar pay day, collazo's camp should shut up and see what the offer is before they go demanding and team hatton rescinds the offer.

i told you guys it was a lie. hattons team doesn't feel like going in for a tough fight. they want someone good to stay in there and trade with him. collazo wont do that, he'll use his quick southpaw style to box hatton. hatton doesn't look like he's in good shape, thats why he's probably want to go in there at 147.
collazo's team is a little crazy asking for that much, they should see the offer first.
but hey they always say ask for much more so you have room to negotiate.

Collazo has a good chance of winning, but I think the fight still on though.
