  • Comments Thread For: Floyd Mayweather Sr: Where Did Pacquiao's Power Go?

Trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. is looking for answers. He wants to know why Manny Pacquiao has been unable to score a knockout win since the late 2009 beatdown of Miguel Cotto.

For a couple of years, Pacquiao dominated several of the top names with a vicious streak of knockouts and one-sided beatings. Some believe Pacquiao has lost his killer instinct. Mayweather Sr. believes otherwise.

For years, Mayweather Sr. has accused Pacquiao of using performance enhancing drugs - at least during the period when the Filipino star powered past Erik Morales, David Diaz, Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton and Miguel Cotto.

It's a good question. Five years ago if someone had said that Pacquiao couldn't knock out Chris Algieri no one would have believed it.

But now that is exactly what is happening.

The power is still there and when Floyd feels it, he'll run.

How many one hit ko's does manny have?

Out of all those fights after cotto, name the fighter that had been previously ko'd before fighting pacquiao. (not including plasterito of course)

He just put Algieri on the ground 5 or 6 times.

Floyd and Pac can both punch. They've been fighting bigger guys so naturally we will see less kos.

Does anybody think Sr and Roger are underestimating Pacquiao?

I'm sure Floyd isn't underestimating him but all this talk saying "i could whoop him if i was still boxing" etc.. i know it's trash talk but i really think the older Mayweathers are underestimating Pacquiao. Of course it might not be the case, they are crazy but they definitely know their boxing but this is the feeling i get.

This ain't Robert Guerrero or Victor Ortiz. It's Manny Pacquiao...still a top fighter.

Fights are won in the gym. If somehow Manny does beat Floyd it won't be because Floyd wasn't prepared.

It's because what happened to margarito. Almost making him permanently blind scared him.
