Comments Thread For: Photo: Carl Frampton, Scott Quigg Go Side By Side

Odyssey Arena, Belfast, Northern Ireland - Before a massive home crowd, IBF super bantamweight champion Carl Frampton (20-0, 14KOs) stopped mandatory challenger Chris Avalos (25-3, 19KOs) in the fifth round.

Frampton started slow in the first but picked up the pace in every round. In the fifth, he rocked Avalos with a combination and started unloading with accurate shots, over and over, until the referee Howard Foster had no choice - and jumped in to wave the fight off as Avalos was badly hurt and wobbling.

Frampton is gonna whoop his ass. Nothing special about Quigg.

The best fight at 122 is Rigondeaux vs Frampton, not LSC. Both these dudes whoop Santa Cruz.

Hopefully after Frampton beats Quigg, and Rigondeaux beats Wake, they can fight at the end of the year for the unification. Rigondeaux should win a close and tough fight.

              Frampton will demolish him.

He has much more to his game and is simply the superior fighter.

Frampton would KO Quigg. The fight should be in Ireland as everyone knows Frampton is the A Side.

It would be great to see a co-main event in Ireland this summer.
Lee vs Saunders and Frampton vs Quigg in the 60,000 seat Aviva Stadium.
