but imo, still beats him because he is better.

Eubank Jr might match up better to the top fighters in the division because he stronger and is probably in possession of a cracking Eubank chin.

But BJS is better than him.

I had the fight 5-1 Saunders in the first 6 and 5-1 Eubank in the second 6.

I'd be ok with 7-5 but I definitely also had the feeling that Eubank was saving energy for the later rounds because it was his first 12 round fight.

Now he's gone 12 hard rounds twice in a row and been stronger in the last 6 than in the first 6.

A rematch would definitely be interesting. But he's not "a level above" by any means.
Good post and interesting what you say about Eubank taking his time as he has not got many rounds under his belt.

I had the Saunders fight 7-5, for me BJS faded physically a bit during the championship rounds, but was smart and experienced enough to hold and not get caught trading too much.

I just think Eubank is one dimensional - he is athletic and has that upper / hook inside combination - but that's about it.

A real test would be someone like Spike O'Sullivan, who comes to fight but is a very good pure boxer with stamina and decent power.

For me, a BJS rematch wold be interesting - I think BJS would control Eubank a bit more and the result would be exactly the same without a SD.

Chudinov had no jab or lateral movement - he was decent and brave, but nowhere near the level of BJS.

Exactly. He was clearly 5-0 down after 5 rounds then won at least 5 of the last 7 rounds. Anyone that didn't see him winning at least 4 of the last 6 rounds must have been watching another fight.

BJS isn't going to rematch him unless he loses his title shot then wants a payday. He knows Eubank could beat him.

He's definitely one of the most ill-prepared to hold a "titlist" position. I wish he would fight more often and against consistently solid competition to see how good he actually he is.
