  • Comments Thread For: Mayweather Sr: I'd Whoop Chris Algieri With One Hand!

Trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. thinks very little of Manny Pacquiao's string of wins in the aftermath of his devastating knockout loss to Juan Manuel Marquez in 2012.

On May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Pacquiao will finally get his wish when he steps in the ring with WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr.

In Pacquiao's last fight in November 2014, he dropped previously undefeated Chris Algieri six times for a ridiculously one-sided twelve round unanimous decision.

Some saw the outcome as an impressive win for Pacquiao. Others saw a difference in class with Algieri biting off more than he could chew.

No knock on Manny but Algeri doesn't belong on the big stage. Period. He just isn't good enough.

fight night i had mannybradley2 for manny by one point. in slomo counting all punches and judging effectiveness plus replay i had bradley winning each time..i dont see how manny did worse in a rematch vs a guy like bradley..bradley has no leaping left hook or great right hand..his best punch is unknown and u really think floyd will do the same or worse???..that is nuts..bradley beat manny to me bc manny couldnt get out the way of return fire or mess with his jab..manny couldnt cut the ring off on a fighter with 2 bad feet so how u going to do it with the best footwork in the game??

speakin on algier is just worthless his only foot work is a pivot out to his left..thats all he offers with very little power and he wouldnt make manny pay b/c he was told to stay in a cage for w/e reason.. floyd washes manny after maybe 2 or 3 rounds of partial ineffective flurries by manny that will bring the crowd to their feet but actually do no damage..might not even land if u see it in slomo...JUST MY OPINION..BUT WE WILL SEE...i havent been wrong on a fight in quite a while

it is a knock on manny..he had no business fighting him..b/c we know if floyd took algieri he would be the worlds biggest villain...hell even if pac lost to algieri floyd wouldnt be allowed to fight him..
