Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar De La Hoya expects a very good fight on May 2nd, when welterweight champions Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao collide in a highly anticipated showdown.

De La Hoya fought both fighters and those bouts helped both Mayweather and Pacquiao become crossover superstars. De La Hoya lost a close twelve round split decision to Mayweather in 2007. He was beaten up and stopped by Pacquiao in 2008; a fight that saw De La Hoya retire afterwards.

delahoya-pacquiao fight show him pressuring pac in the early rounds until pac adjusted and occasionally tagged hoya with left straight...as he tried to sidestepped, pac cut the ring and sandwiched delahoya with a dozen up-and-down-left-and-right combos...at the start of round 9, his handlers realized its useless to go on...
