Haymon is definitely right about two things. Haymon wont put HBO out of business and its gonna be really hard keeping his fighters happy

        Excellent insight from white.

I said it when it was first announced. In order for this to be successful, Haymon would need huge TV ratings. In order to get huge TV ratings you would need to put on exciting action packed fights. 2 technical boxers pawing, jabbing, and spending the majority of the fight trying to nullify each other isn't going to cut it with the casual TV fan base. After 2 or 3 rounds of no action they will just tune out and change the channel.

Haymon is taking a huge gamble and has lots to lose here. Action = viewership. He needs action packed fights!

Dana White knows his stuff, especially when he said USA Tuesday night fights was the best boxing show on TV, anyone who watched that growing up has to co-sign, they seemed to have an action fight every night on that show, I miss that series.

But this article is funny it seems like Dana White is trying to audition for a job as Al Haymons PBC president lol.

I wouldn't be shocked if Haymon was able to steal White from the UFC, UFC is doing bad very bad to the point they are in the loss column and interest in UFC has dwindled where they are relying on shock tactics and gimmicks such as promoting a sex sells with these female fighters and not pushing ufc as a respectable sport and not to mention the steroid and drug tests of legends and fighters like Anderson Silva.

If Dana White was president of PBC he would pitch that company like no other, this dude loves doing interviews and promoting be it on social media or tv and radio he is basically the face of UFC

White appears to be under the impression Haymon is financing the venture himself when in fact it's being backed by investors.

It's really not that ballsy to spend other people's money. If it fails, you lose nothing, they lose everything.

I don't know, White seemed pretty skeptical of Haymon's approach saying "he's going to blow a lot of money"/"That's a lot of money [he's spending] and it's hard to make back on TV"...and also talking about how hard it is to keep a large roster happy and active.

What White is trying to say is, when you're paying the networks and not the other way around, it's a very risky business move because the one putting up the money is the one who will absorb the loss. The network on the other hand has nothing to lose and everything to gain.

If after a year the ratings are in the tank, the networks can cut their ties and move on while Haymon and his investors are out 10s of millions.

Allah Al Haymon for bringing in the Cojones gun blazing for boxing. Ppl may of criticized the man for some weak fights but at the same he's brought great fights for MOST of the time. The model in boxing has to change but no on dares to take the gamble so kudos to the man.
