Castillo's win over Mayweather should get him in.

(everybody knows he won that first fight)

How many times did Castillo miss weight? Twice right? Didn't Corrales miss weight vs Casamayor III by 5lbs and also missed weight vs Clottey by I think 2 lbs?

I think they should both get in. Both were very good lb/lb fighters and they were also involved in one of the greatest fights of all time. Both left it all in the ring that night.

How about this, don't remember recently a top fighter training for 6 weeks, then going 10 rounds vs a good quality fighter TKOing him, resting what, 2 weeks, then training for 6 more weeks to fight a top notch fighter.

That's what Castillo did, he beat Julio Diaz on March 5, 2005, then 2 months later he was going to war with Corrales on May 7, 2005.

In the span of 5 months, he fought and beat Joel Casamayor, beat Julio Diaz and went 10 hard with Corrales.

Corrales never beat Casamayor. Not legitimately anyway.

And what makes someone rightful for the IBHOF? How popular they are among the people who do the actual voting?

                Technically ya.

But he stayed far too long and his claim was being robbed by Floyd. Outside of that the mainstream knows him as another Mexican workman.

Granted both guys have name wins:

                  So does Canelo.

                  Just sayin.

...but the mainstream don't vote for the IBHOF.

RJJr too has stayed far too long... as so have so many others.

TBH, I think Castillo deserves it more than Corrales, but feel Corrales will get in before Castillo, if Castillo even gets in.

Isn't Corrales name due to come up soon?

Look at it this way. RIP.

But remembered as Floyd's stepping stone Chico was in terms of legacy. Sure he was awesome p4p before he fought Mayweather, but that was his moment and no shame in him losing to the best TECHNICAL fighter of all time.

What ensued was a series of mismatches and etc. Bizarre.
