Comments Thread For: Mayweather Brings Back Garcia For Pacquiao Bout

Mexican cutman Rafael Garcia, who was responsible for wrapping Floyd Mayweather's hands for the last 15 years, was told to report to Mayweather camp on Monday. The pound-for-pound king will begin his training camp for the May 2nd welterweight super-fight with Manny Pacquiao at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

There was a minor falling out last September, on the night of the rematch between Mayweather and Marcos Maidana, because the undefeated boxer had another individual wrap his hands.

Positive move by Mayweather to bring back the people he's most comfortable around. It's too late in the game to start off with new people in your corner.

I hope he charges Mayweather $50K for his services. He usually gets half that.

I was just asking about this the other day. It's a smart move on Mayweather's part. Garcia is one of the best in the business and this is his biggest fight. He can't leave anything to chance.
