Because ggg can't make 154. If he can let's see him do it first. Hbo basically has Cotto and ggg. It's amazing they can't get the fight done. Sounds familiar.

If he can make 154 he should drop down and fight Canelo at canelos made up weight class that no one seems to care about. All these guys on hbo canelo-ggg-cotto should be fighting each other and fans should demand those fights.

Mayweather fought Cotto at 154lbs, why not GGG?

(Though Mayweather then forced Canelo to make 152lbs at a catchweight, after putting Pacman down forever for some catchweights in his fights)

"The number of issues," 1) GGG will never be the same @ 154 again, and 152 is out of the question. No doubt Floyd would ask for 152, just like he did to Canelo. GGG might be a better fighter, but he's not as "big" a fighter as Canelo. 2) If Floyd beats Manny in May, and Cotto beats a blown up welterweight in June, Floyd can end his contract @ Showtime, and maybe is career, with a Middleweight Championship fight with Cotto, which is much more attractive for both Floyd and Miguel, than a fight with GGG. 3) Showtime (and Mayweather/Haymon) will negotiate with HBO for Pacquiao, but they wouldn't do it for GGG. GGG would have to be able to fight on Showtime, and HBO wouldn't let that happen.

Hes the champ at 154 what are you talking about? I think he looks alot better at 154 than he does at 147. He easily handled cotto and canelo, but was running for his life against maidana. I think he gets weak at 147. Also to the poster who said Manny never fights at 154.... Mannys walking around weight is like 150. Terance Crawford the lightweight champion weighs more than that on fight night. Manny should be fighting at 140, that would be his best weight for sure. I hope after he whoops mayweather he faces the winner of Provo mathysse

I don't agree with you. I feel like the mayweather ggg fight would be big enough for HBO and ShowTime to come together again. With that being said, if ggg really wanted to fight mayweather he should probably get a tune up fight at 154, but there's no way in hell Floyd would fight ggg in the twilight of his career. Maybe after Manny beats him because then he will need someone like ggg to get him halfway decent ppv ratings.
