Comments Thread For: James DeGale-Andre Dirrell Purse Bid Scheduled For 3/10

Negotiations between super middleweight contenders James 'Chunky' DeGale and Andre Dirrell have reached a standstill, as the International Boxing Federation (IBF) has ordered a mandatory purse bid hearing to determine who will earn the right to promote the forthcoming vacant super middleweight title fight.

The hearing is scheduled for March 10, 12:00pm at IBF headquarters in Springfield, New Jersey. [Click Here To Read More]

      It won't get that far.

Eddie Hearn just said they've made a massive offer to Dirrell and are looking to announce next week.

Still in his best interest because Roc Nation would just make him withdraw.

Dirrell would still have to accept that offer. Not to mention that it was Hearn who asked the IBF for an immediate purse bid.

            That's odd.

Hearn gave an interview today saying he made a massive offer and Dirrell has more or less given in to traveling because of that.

This would be such a good fight to have on the Khan vs Brook undercard if that fight happens. Definitely PPV worthy.

It will be on PPV on April 25th.

                It'll have Selby-Gradovich, Mitchell-Linares (likely) & Joshua-Johnson too.

                  Obviously the offer wasn't accepted.

That's got to be declined recently as in in the past couple of hours then.

But it would make sense to get the purse bid done though as Hearn would like to have it on April 25th.
