  • Cotto, Santa-Cruz, And Chickenson are not so different.

They are all ducking fighters and they are making it quite obvious too.

    Cotto is ducking Golovkin

Leo Santa Chicken is ducking Rigondeaux

And last but not least Aquacknis Chickenson is ducking Kovalev.

The only difference is that one of them is not with Al Haymon. And Because he isn't with Al Haymon is the reason why I think he won't be able to successfully duck Gennady Golovkin.

It's pretty obvious Cotto wouldn't want to fight GGG, but the between Cotto and the other two are Cotto has fought the very best consistently. I can't think of other instances where he has avoided anyone? If he did fight Golovkin would anyone actually pick him to win? Not an excuse just a realistic observation. It would be a mismatch, Cotto belongs at Jr. MW and he isn't even a great Jr. MW his best days were at Welter. If Cotto didn't have a belt (an he really only has one because Sergio might as well have been in a wheelchair given the condition of his knees) this fight would be billed as a complete mismatch. I'd rather see Golovkin in a competitive fight than a marketable one.

Neither Santa Cruz nor Stevenson have fought anywhere near the level of competition they need to at the stages of the career compared to Cotto. Stevenson is 37, one handed, limited in skill but big in power. I think he realises his career at the top level was always going to be very short and this is him cashing in, he knows he gets beat by the top guys.

Cotto has fought Floyd, Manny and Mosley as well as many other excellent fighters. He's not a ducker or coward. That's the true difference. Neither Adonis or LSC has fought anyone great.

Who cares who cotto has fought, As middleweight champion, he should be obligated to defend it against real middleweights and ones that are 100 percent healthy.

GGG is a real middleweight. If Cotto wants to truly call himself a middleweight Champion, he will defend that Belt against GGG.

That's cool but he shouldn't be compared to Adonis or LSC. They haven't done anything in their careers compared to Cotto.

We aren't talking about careers. We are talking about how they are ducking certain fighters like the plague.

So... how come Floyd didn't have to fight Manny all those years?

You're list should actually look like this:

Floyd - Ducked Manny for 7 years
Cotto - Not even 7 days ducking GGG (but he's on Leo level.)

How do you have that many posts in 2 or 3 years? Do you even job bro?

This guy is a closet Cotto lover - come out the closet bro, it's ok. More threads about Cotto coming from you than us hardcore Cotto-stans. We accept you man it's ok.

Sad thing is, if/when Cotto tangles with GGG, you casual fans will claim it a great win for GGG and fault Cotto and make disparaging memes because your flavor of the month beat a past-prime guy who is small. You won't credit Cotto, just like you casuals who all said he'd get murdered by Sergio.

Cotto is everything that you casuals wish your favorite fighter is, but they aren't and you are just upset. I see you Floyd fans excited that he's finally fighting Pac, par the course that's getting him at the wrong side of his career. Cotto fought Pac at his peak, Cotto fought Mosley while he was still relevant, he fought Margarito when he was at his peak, he fought Martinez when at the time we were still getting threads about Floyd vs Martinez.

Do you think us Cotto fans or Cotto himself cares about you gutless casuals who know about as much boxing as my kitty cat? Cotto and GGG are the same age almost and if they both retired today only one of them would be in the HoF. Only one of them has been in the ring with the very best this sport has to offer. Cotto fighting GGG would be the equivalent of GGG fighting Marco Huck at Cruiserweight.

Ain't nobody worrying about your crying. Cotto earned his stripes, unlike the other two bozos in this thread and unlike GGG. Cotto will fight GGG and end the hype train and you'll cry like a peasant about it and latch on to the next flavor of the month you predictable casuals.
