That was actually a close fight until Duran quit. I pick GGG by close decision (only because GGG starts off slow), which according to the poll - I am the first to feel that way.

if it's the version that fought Hagler I would have to take GGG. SRL was standing his ground at times and fighting off the ropes. Hagler was well past his prime. His timing was off. He had issues pulling the trigger and GGG hits harder. I think he stops that SRL.

Most bothersome part of it all is that Leonard would have destroyed him, literally.

Yeah, it's a tough fight for Ray.

There was definitely method to the madness of delaying to fight Hagler for years.

If Leonard fights in the same manner he did against Benitez in the first half, I'd take Leonard by decision.

If Hagler couldn't beat him then GGG couldn't. It would be a competitive fight though especially at that point in Ray's career. I though if Hagler had applied pressure from the beginning he would have won a clear decision.

I'd rather compare guys by making them both the same weight class. Either make GGG a natural 147 pounder or Leonard a natural 160 pounder. Leonard boxes his ears off.
