1.4m homes, double-counting the telecast; if you honestly believe that there wasn't any overlap between the two airings, you're deluded.
let the spin keep spinning
Going out of your way to call people deluded about something that hasn't even been mentioned or isn't quantifiable at the present moment...yeah, they're the deluded ones.
So does that 1.4mil count repeat homes or is that total different homes?
With over 2.2mil in Germany watching Golovkin/Murray, I wonder what the Channel 5 numbers were like in the UK?
The Nielsen report didn't specify. My guess is that it's just a combo of the two, and not necessarily 1.4 million unique viewers. The actual rating number would be the 862,000 it drew live.
Very strong numbers. That's all that needs to be said. Nothing to argue about. It would be interesting to know how many viewers watched the fight worldwide though.

IDK but I'm betting pretty decent, it was publicised heavily, and on other channels (and websites), and it was one of those weekends where boxing seemed to cross into the UK sporting consciousness, what with Abraham-Smith II as well.
Will be even more interested to see how Frampton-Avalos does, although I've only seen one single ad for it on ITV proper and they don't have much of a web presence; even though I'd prefer it if the BBC were into boxing, hope they don't squander the opportunity.
