all three are good trainers buddy mcgirt has done wonders with gatti who after the dlh fight no one thought we would see gatti again...he has also done a good job with antonio tarver 1st. guy to ever beat the until then untouchable rjj...freddy roach is also a good trainer he has done very well with manny and they adjusted well for the 2nd. morales fight ..he is also doing a very good job bringing up viloria...but i have to go with steward do to his longevity he also trained great fighters..hearns,michael moorer at lightweight, mclellan, and lewis....

I think Roach, even though ES has been into boxing for a while.

i think out of the bunch - roach is the more overrated one. hes had more failure in his career IMO and was just lucky to come across the talent that is manny p.

i have to go w/ steward - hearns, lewis and moorer. niiiiice

mcgirt gets way too much credit imo
he was the hot trainer there for a while but hes too damn overstretched between boxers

how many boxers has mcgirt trained in the last 5 or so years since he became a trainer
                way too many i think
hes a good trainer please dont think im dissing him cause im not at all
i just think he overworked himself to be truly effective as he coulda been

roach and stewart are both excellent trainers
i put them both in the elite trainer category right there next to goose
them three are above all else right now

and i think mayweather sr is an average at best trainer
dlh just likes having a yes man and someone easily disposable
dlh may as well have sterling mcpherson as his trainer
guess mcpherson is too annoying even for dlh

I think your missing one more top trainer in your list Joe Goosen, he trained Shane Mosley, Michael Nunn, Diego Corrales, Gabriel and Rafael Ruelas, and Juan Lazcano. He is an emotional trainer who tells his fighters straight. I loved in the Diego vs Castillo I when he told Diego "What did I tell you its all about balls" between rounds and in the tenth round after putting back in Diego's mouth piece said "Now you gotta ****ing go after his ass".

There are alot of trainers out there who say oh your winning or great job and blow smoke up there fighters butts but he tells them exactly how he see's it. I'm glad he also pulled Diego out of Castillo 3 due to injury, because we all know Diego being the warrior he is would've still fought.

All very good trainers but I had to go with Manny Steward.
