Mora admits he passed on an offer due to bad risk/reward:

Sergio Mora’s boxing career to this point is that of a movie and the ending will reveal the legacy. Mora is trying to change things now as he heads into a November 16th bout against Milton Nunez in Citizen’s Bank Arena in Ontario, California on the undercard of Andre Ward vs. Edwin Rodriquez. Mora, who

You gotta remember Gggs opponents have to be approved by Hbo, which is a problem with Mora

what do you mean they didn't bite? ggg offered him the fight and he turned it down. its easy to say "i would have fought for 299k" right after golovkin signs to fight someone else. that's not an offer. thats false bravado and nothing but talk.mora didn't bite when the fight was offered.

Everybody always gets brave after the fact.

And then he did that to himself for HBO. He might try to fool everyone by being more open, but look what that got him for being moderate with Han

Not a terrible choice if true. At least he campaigns at middleweight and was about to fight for the IBF belt.

Far better than the three names Arum dropped, that's for sure.
Yes it is a terrible choice bro

Turned it down way before Golovkin ever made an HBO appearance. Lets not pretend that didn't matter.

Hbo probably didnt have any interest in showing Mora, esp after the Mosley ********. Tbf the Vera fights were pretty good, esp the 2nd iirc

If it can be made, let it be made.

Don't know if people still think Mora can go rounds, I doubt that now....but i'm more interested if K2 can deal with Haymon.

Could be possible after he tries to unify the WBA/regular title and the WBA enforce the mandatory status....causing them to either dump it or fight again

but yeah that could be chalked up to Mora trained for Taylor not Han and Han wasnt really engaging mora he was sitting back waiting to counter mora and GGG will come to mora which will make mora job alot easier.
