15 rounds make for slower paced fights,

    less explosiveness,

    weaker boxers.

    featherfistedness and less KO's,

    less intense drama.

The era of 15 round fights were virtually unwatchable! Back and forth punch baggery (because defence hadn't been developed yet) and still nobody could barely hurt anybody!

Why the HELL would anybody want to go back to that!

If boxing was ever that bad again, nobody would even watch the ****!

You need an adequate number of rounds for tactical plans to play out (10-12 is more than enough for that). Any higher means less actual boxing, less recourse to technical ability and basically just a game of low intensity endurance.

If you want to watch that, watch the marathon runners! This is the HURT business!

im more in tune with lets change it from 10 -12 to 11-13. wich could end alot of draws that dont have knock downs by forcing a winner.

15 rounds would be awesome but watcha gonna do. of course if one sanctioning body wanted to establish themselves as a particularly badass title they could just say if the IBF title is gonna be on the line it's gotta be a 15 rounder or whatever.

The intensity of each round will go down under a 15th round fight do to the fact that the fighters will have to pace themselves for 15 rounds instead of 12. 12 rounds is a good balance.

I just read your post and I must say I agree 100%. 15 rounds would only hurt the action and intensity.

actually a good idea would cut out a lot of draws. In time there would also be a bit of an aura develop around 'round 13' imo

Abso-****ing-lutely I think 15 rounds should be back for mega fights. I would even say 13 rounds. An even amount of rounds is ******ed.

15 rounds fights should be available if a fighter petitions for it and his opponent agrees.
