Today there should have been purse bids for Jack Culcay´s defense of the EBU super welterweight title against Cedric Vitu, but Culcay relinquished the title and it is now vacant.

Vitu, from Fance and 41-2, will now face Italian Orlando Fiordigiglio (20-0) and the EBU have set March 23 at noon as the deadline for purse bids.

What Culcay is up to is an open question. There´s no comment from Sauerland Event, who promotes Culcay.

Since it is Sauerland, my guess is Vitu isn't enough of a cupcake for their fighter

German newspaper "Welt" mentioned that Sauerland placed an offer for Cornelius Bundrage to make a voluntary defense against Culcay.

Maybe they are finalizing the fight and that's why Culcay doesn't defend the belt against the less known and unranked (by the major sanstioning bodies) Vitu whom's best win was against a faded Canclaux
