I find boxing to be the most difficult sport to make money on. Fights can be unpredictable and odds are usually not very good. My advice: Be patient and wait for a fight with good proposition odds, don't bet on fights just because you're a fan of a fighter either.
You have to be really sharp to win money over the long run.
The craziest stuff happens in boxing.
I like 5dimes a lot and think they have nice odds. I've tried some of the others and feel like they are the best. I used to do Bovada but their odds seemed to be uniformly worse than 5 dimes no matter what I was betting on.
One of the problems I think I have with betting boxing is that for me, it kills some of the fun of watching the fights because ur on edge about ur guy winning when you have a lot on the table.

The couple times I betted, it actually made watching boxing way more fun. I imagine the feeling is similar to when a fan is rooting for his fellow countryman as if his country's pride and identity is at stake if his fighter loses. The difference is that instead of national pride, my money is at stake, and gives me a bit of an adrenaline rush.
But yeah, first time I betted was for Burns-Beltran. I thought Beltran would win, and I got hosed. That mostly put me off.

Betting has almost ruined sports for me. I try not to bet on or against my favorite teams, because I like to root for them with no added interest. But as for, say, the NFL as a whole, I just don't care unless I have some money on it.
Other than boxing, I don't do a lot of betting anymore. I'm consumed with Fanduel/Draftkings. It gives me my rooting interests, and adds the excitement of having some money on the line.
I don't really have any 'favorite' fighters, so I can pretty much bet on/against anyone without any real bias.
Have a thorough understanding of fraction (EU) and (US) decimals ; I recommend using Bet calulators.Try shopping for the best Odds to increase profit - Bovada has begun to add fights from over seas in-case your from the states.Good luck.
Bookies tend to give good odds on the fight going over certain rounds. David price was 6/5 (fraction) or 2.2 (decimal) to go over 5.5 rounds which means he has to go past the half way mark of the fifth. He got the stoppage in the 6th round, tight margins but bet still lands. Another good one was Wilder vs Stervine going over 7.5 rounds @ 2/1 or 3.00 fight went all 12 rounds. GGG vs Murray over 5.5 rounds was 6/5. I'd advise you not to bet unless you do your research properly.
