I think we can all agree that even if he beat one of those top rated 154lbers people would just point out that they were just that! JMW's...

I think we can all agree too that Golovkin has a right to clean out his division, put together a dominant reign & fight to unify all the major title belts?! There are plenty of fights for him against the160lbers let alone 154lb fighters:

      Miguel Cotto
      Peter Quittin
      Daniel Jacobs
      Hassan N'Dam
      Andy Lee
      Dmitry Chudinov
      Billy Joe Saunders
      David Lemieux
      Willie Monroe Jr
      Maybe even JCC Jr

All of which would add to an increasingly respectable resume, in the mean time others may decide to try 160 too like Alvarez or Andrade! Let the man have his reign first & shot @ the belts.... Never in the history of the sport have people wanted rid of a fighter from a division so much! Speaks volumes.... Those guys would be a decent edition to the division sure but all I am saying is he has a right to go for those belts Cotto & Lee hold & both of those are just as good (in fact more proven) as some of the 154lbers you are matching him up with! Lara lost to Molina & Williams ffs so lets not act like he'd be some huge threat against a bigger division.. Plus he can't pull the trigger! Andrade is my personal favourite JMW but he was ordered to fight Korobov @ 160 but pulled out... So I don't get the sense that he wants any part of 160! Not yet anyway... Golovkin would KO both anyway!

I voted for Canelo and Lara would be my 2nd choice. Please understand I don't think any of them have a snowball's chance in hell of beating GGG.

Sasha Yengoyan is a big JMW, very tough to KO - he's a beast.

Jermell Charlo, Demetrius Andrade, Erislandy Lara, & Saul Alvarez are no threat to GGG but they have the best chance.

Interesting Middleweights for GGG; David Lemieux, Jorge Sebastian Heiland, Sergio Mora.

Super Middleweights to warm up GGG for Ward; Robert Stieglitz, Arthur Abraham, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, Carl Froch.

Why would GGG go up in weight now. He can fight Cotto and then the winner of Quillin/Lee/ Saunders, Then he could go for the IBF. There are still loads of fights left for him at 160. So why would he move

Andrade and Lara- They both a greater reach than GGG and can box well from the outside.

I'd love to see GGG v Canelo I think that is the next big fight that can be made in boxing and I think Canelo would do well but will be in for a difficult night.

I dont see anyone at MW testing him and those that maybe could aren't going to fight him.

Hopkins & Sergio didn't become lineal champions @ MW until there mid 30's.. It took Hopkins 6 years into his MW career (13 years a pro in total by that point) to unify two major belts! He did so against Holmes... Hopkins unified those two belts on his 13th defenses of his IBF belt... He then beat Trinidad (a former WW just like Cotto) in his next to become lineal champion also aged 36! He would then fight 8 more times @ 160 up until the age of 40! See not so different really... People have short memories!

Let GGG chase Lee & Cotto... He's only 32! Calzaghe, DM, Hopkins all of have an incredible run of defenses, in fact all are on the all time list, these things matter & that is what boxing is about, to be dominant & to establish a reign, to define your era! Stop trying to deny him this right as some of you are doing...

I'm just saying, if it comes to us looking to 154 for viable opposition, how are 154 pounders going to be better than 160 pounders? Sure, clean out 160 but after that, looking at 154 pounders to move up for the challenge isn't the way to go.
