How Many Times Did You Have Juan Manuel Marquez Beating Manny Pacquiao?

    First fight: draw
    Second: Manny
    Third: Marquez

They were all close. And, no rematch is necessary. Also, I'm always perplexed why people say Manny was beating Marquez "badly" in the 4th fight. It's like they forget that Manny was dropped earlier in the fight, and nearly dropped Manny again after Manny popped Marquez and he barely fell (just a glove on a canvas).

It really does capture how dumb people are on this site

I thought the second fight was the clearest victory for Marquez.

Pacquiao won the first fight and quite clearly for me, Pacquiao was better in almost every department. Yes Marquez made a great mini come back in the middle rounds but he never did enough to eliminate the points deficit and tried to trade with the power puncher far too often, coming in second in every instance. To me it's very much like Ali/Frazier I. Marquez was competitive, it was a great fight but Pacquiao won clearly.

The second fight was much closer and in all honesty I could see it going either way by a point.

The third fight was Marquez's best performance to date. He bossed Pacquiao in there, he was relatively quick, he stopped Pacquiao from being too effective and busy and just sneaked rounds. I think I had it 7-5 to Marquez.

The 4th fight is really not even up for debate. Yes there are question marks surrounding Marquez's physique at the time and spending decades in this sport, I have never seen a man nearing 40 put on so much muscle but the fact remains, Pacquiao got reckless and Marquez kept calm, landing the single best counter shot I may have ever seen.

So all in all, you could say it stands at 2-2.

I had the first one a draw, the last one obviously JMM and the rest to to JMM too. I think the third fight was a disgrace in terms of how JMM wasn't given the decision.

Except boxing, you mean? Marquez outboxed Pacquiao for at least 3/4 of that fight. Pacquaio proved he was faster and the better puncher, that's about it.

Manny won the first fight...it was close but the breakdown of the individual rounds were clear...

2nd fight I scored slightly for Pac....close enough to have gone either way...

3rd fight Marquez won...the most decisive of the first 3 fights, fairly clear Marquez victory...

                      2 for Manny & 2 for JMM...
