So... in your eyes Tua needed to have knocked Lewis down a couple times (let's say three times like in the Peter-Wlad fight) in order for that fight to be "entertaining"?

You know Wlad's punch-hold technique against Peter was a carbon copy of Lewis' performance against Tua?

Except, Peter still managed somehow to knock Wlad down THREE TIMES.

I don't think I've seen Wlad in a boring fight yet.

Also Lewis's personality killed any chance of my being his fan. ******* use of the word "basically" as well as his annoying tendency to refer to himself in third person did not do it for me. At the time I wanted to see him knocked out. My anti-Lewis sentiments were at an all time high during the Lewis-Klitschko showdown when he refused to give Vitali the respect he deserved for coming within a hair's breadth of beating him. I think the Tyson fight was the only time I ever rooted for the guy.

Still he'd beat everyone around today, including Wladimir, and I do miss having a dominant undisputed champion who successfully cleaned up the division with only a few setbacks.

      Exactly.

He likes Wlad better because it's "more exciting" that he can end up on ***** street at any moment.

I really love hearing the "boring Lewis" logic from guys who try to hate on him.

Watch the video again. He was violent and exciting when the opportunity was there, and had many highlight reel KO's in title fights.

But because he faught Tua and Holyfield cautiously and won convincingly by hitting and not getting hit, he's boring.

And I'm sure if he went down as easilly as Wlad does, didn't rematch anyone, and essentially was half the fighter his is now if that were true, that Achillies would like him better and would have been a fan.

Unreal some of the things the Klitscko clowns come up with.

Lewis could have put the hurt on Tua late in that fight when the Samoan was dead tired. He could have been the first person to knock him down, perhaps knock him out. Tua was slow, plodding, and no longer a threat at that point. Instead he chose to play it safe. That's just how he was at times. It's the main reason his popularity never grew to the level of his talent.

          That's one fight.

Tua had never been stopped, and he was dangerous with the left.

Going after him could have ended up badly. Instead he coasted to a clear and near shut out Victory.

If he'd have been dropped three times, and had to hug Tua to hold on to a narrow points win, that would have been more exciting and would have made a fan of guys like you huh?

          Come off it.

            .
Entertaining by getting his ass knocked out by a jouneyman, and two decent but exciting power punching fighters? and getting knocked down 3 times by a poor mans David Tua? sorry i had to say it.

              Great vid!

Lewis was a great fighter, oh how the division misses him now!

If you think about it the 90's were a great time, Lewis, Tyson, Holyfield and Bowe to name but four of the great heavyweight around that time, pity Bowe never fought Lewis though!

So I take it JC Gomez is more entertaining?

                Yanqui Diaz proved that.

Lewis' KO's against Rahman and Botha should be on every highlight of boxing's best KO's. Simply amazing stuff. Also watch how he rips the heads of Bruno, Ruddock, Vitali, etc with that ridiculous uppercut

dude, you can't compare Diaz KOing Gomez to Wlad being KO'ed by Sanders or Brewster. not even in the same ballpark. Gomez was on his feet and it was a bad stoppage even though he deserved to lose.
