Heavyweight David Price marked his return from injury with an explosive sixth-round stoppage of Irineu Costa in Berlin. The Liverpudlian produced a disciplined display as he eased back from a nine-month absence and ruthlessly finished off the Brazilian after he was floored by a crisp hook. David Price proved too much for Irineu Costa with a 6th round stoppage in Berlin.
Price was dictating the fight at his own pace until he raised the tempo in explosive fashion in the 6th. and he stumbled upwards to receive further punishment, with two right hands putting him down for a second count. Still, Costa clambered up for more and his corner waved it off after a further barrage floored him for a third time.
