I'm sure Floyd's matchmakers felt now was the best time to make the fight after seeing Pac v Marquez 4 and 2 last year.

If not, there'd be a Marquez and tax problem or ppv problem or I don't work with Arum issues.

Mayweather promotions doesn't have matchmakers. Arum has had 2 that are in the hof and he never makes fights without checking with them first.

Manny/jmm 4 was 3 fights and 3 years ago. Floyd doesn't fight guys coming off a loss.

So I'm not exactly sure what the point of your response is. Can you tell me why manny and bob accepted no cutoff and 40% but not 50% and a 24 or 14 day cutoff 5 years ago?

The fact is that Mayweather tried to wait Pacquiao out until Manny was just a ghost of his former self. But pressure from the promoters, networks, and the public forced him to fight Pac much earlier.

Mayweather should have waited another year before finally agreeing to sign the contract.

I think Mayweather realized he better fight him now before he gets too old. Only Floyd knows how he feels. He may even decide to retire after this fight.
