A lot people blamed Bob for the fight not happening until today. Floyd publicly blamed him, so did others. In the end, Bob was critical to this fight being made. Greatest promoter of all time.

almost everything he's said in the media in the last month has been a lie that was immediately contradicted by those more intimately involved in putting this together.

he is the best promoter of all time, but between taking Manny to get stitches in 2012, to the fake stadium, to "it's disrespectful to Mexicans", etc etc. is this a guy who deserves an appreciation thread?

fight is made so I guess he deserves some credit.

Bob Arum expertly rebuilt Manny after the JMM debacle. The fight is essentially as it was and that is damn near amazing when you consider where Manny was.

That is hall of fame promotion right there and he got the pay off, can't fault that game at all.

I still haven't seen anyone explain a valid reason how the fight didn't happen sooner because of Bob Arum. About every major setback was due to one of the fighter's demands.
