You can actually see Mayweather's traps and Pacquiao trying to find a way in, avoiding those counters and setting up his own. Its was a tactical ballet every time they reset.

A few notes after watching it in slow mo replay:

    - Manny's skill level and ring IQ is on par with Mayweather's. No one ever countered and made Floyd miss as much as Pacquiao did and that much was evident watching it in slow mo.

    - Manny landed punches while off balance or without proper technique. In real time, this will seem sloppy, even though the punches did connect.

    - Floyd's moved well and controlled the distance effectively, slow motion doesn't show differently. His offense though left much to be desired.

    - No quarrels with scoring. Judges score in real time and perception is key. Floyd being the defensive fighter did well defensively, and Pacquiao being the offensive fighter did not live up to expectations offensively. That said and on the flip side, I thought Pacquiaos defense was excellent and Mayweathers offense was lacking. But thats clearly not what people paid to see. Still, it seemed that close rounds were given to Floyd just because he wasn't getting destroyed .

    - I think a rematch will look quite similar and Pacquiao will probably look worse if he goes in wrecklessly guns blazing. He did well enough tactically but the expectations were more than what we saw.

Great chess match and one I appreciated even more in slow motion.
i have no issue on the pbf win, it was just on the perception of him schooling pac. i haven't watch a slowmo replay but i scored the fight 8-4 watching it live, reason being is the one being highlighted above. watching it again, i saw pac blocked some shots with his gloves which i think landed the first time i watched it. i admire the tactical battle and the chess match the two showed on may 2.

but for casual fans, this is what they saw.. SMH

Thanks for the well thought out commentary. I did think it was an even more interesting fight in slow mo as well. I scored the fight 8-4 live and thought Manny looked sloppy and frustated, but it looked a bit closer in a review of the slow-mo. Manny taking shots on the glove/arm was something I under appreciated live.

I think that's Check Hooks. He was the only one that would reference Pacquiao as the "Asian 2Pac" and look at his sig.

Y'all all buggin. I ain't Evol or Check Hooks, this is my first and only account. The inspiration for 2pacquiao came from 3Sun2, and then I thought to how everyone said 2pac was going to come back again and bam. That's how the sig came to be.

Paulie kept it Über real in that interview big ups to him. To many people have been afraid to come out against PAC and some of the BS he has pulled in and out of the ring for fear they might get blackballed, might not get an interview, might not get a fight, might lose a job... None of those things matter to Paulie he's on a competing network,he doesn't do interviews, he's not in the running for a PAC fight ... And that's what the truth looks like when it comes to PAC.
