Without his right to setup his left, Pac can only do so much. He was an unbalanced fighter who willed himself to win with only his left hand to depend on.

You just can't throw and throw your left, the right is part of any southpaw boxers arsenal. The other hand which is his right, has so many ways that can be effective. Right hook, stiff right jab, single, double, triple jab before a left straight. Right cross etc..

The right hand is used to hide when a straight left is about to be fired upon. Pac didn't have that luxury that night.

Just rewatched the fight and saw 2 elite fighters with respect for each other's skills go at it. Pacquiao simply made the same mistake as Canelo, he tried to outbox a better boxer. Pacquiao needed to overwelm Mayweather with activity from round one like Maidana did, and bank as many rounds before Mayweather adjusts and takes over. Whenever Pac would open up he would take control but he wasn't given many chances to, May was not going to "stand still", and was consistently beating him to the punch.

What I didn't see was an injured Manny Pacquiao.

He was doing it on the 4th, but as we found out, it's after the sequence of flurries in that round he severely tore his rotator cuffs. Hence, he tried to go on handicapped after the 4th..

If he was healthy with 2 hands.. I can easily see him put on more heavy combinations and relentless activity from Pac. But He couldn't be too offensive that night, he was limited with only his left hand as an effective weapon. He nursed his right shoulder up to the 12th.. Therefore, what we were expecting him to be didn't happen. He couldn't overwhelm, he needs to healthy hands to do that.
