    Just in:
An eleventh hour complaint by the Mayweather camp over Pacman’s Cleto Reyes gloves, which they termed “horse hair style,” has failed according to ESPN’s Joe Tessitore. TMT wanted CBS President Les Moonves to arbitrate, while the Pacquiao camp successfully argued the Nevada State Athletic Commission has jurisdiction. The Mayweather camp eventually withdrew their protest. Both Pacquiao’s gloves and Mayweather’s Grant gloves have been approved and inspected by the Commission, and Manny will enter the fight tonight with his chosen “puncher’s gloves.”

I can't believe they are going to let Pacquiao box with those gloves. Mayweather had little choice pulling the fight now would have been a disaster. But it's a definite unfair advantage for Pacquaio now with those gloves.

Dude what are you talking about? Those gloves are regularly used by countless boxers as an option. What's unfair about off-the-shelf pair of gloves? Why would Floyd be afraid of a type of gloves made by a manufacturer for many years and used by numerous boxers as part of the sport?

If it's a good fight and people are talking about it for the right reasons, it'll do a lot for boxing. If it's a stinker, it's not going to be remembered as the 'fight of the century' people are calling it now.

Ali-Frazier, Ali-Foreman, Hagler-Hearns, those fights were epics. That's why people talk about them the way they do. Nobody's going to be celebrating a fight that put them to sleep in 20 years time.

Notice how you didn't mention Halger-Leonard? It was the last biggest megafight and guess what? IT. WASN'T. EXCITING. Doesn't change the fact it is still considered a megafight.

I believe strongly in my heart and soul that this fight will fully live up to its expectations. People will write and talk about how amazing of an event it was. For weeks, social media will be flooded with nothing but boxing chatter. The sport will gain millions of new fans and even bring back the old ones who took a break from the sport. I believe strongly that we are entering a new golden age of boxing and I'm completely excited for it.
