I am not sure if you are being honestly inquisitive or trying to be smart, I have to guess the latter based on other responses you have given people, if that is the case then you're reply is the dumbest ****ing thing I have ever heard. Frankly I do not wish to get in a debate with someone who has exposed themselves to know very little about the art of boxing. But I will offer a single rebuttal because you're ignorance offends me.
Southpaw pads applies to the person who is holding the pads, so not the fighter. This is so the fighter can get accustomed to the angles stance he will come up against in sparring and more importantly in the fight as they are different to the norm. When Manny Pacquiao fought southpaws i.e. David Diaz, I am sure Freddie used southpaw pads during that training camp like he has done with his other fighters when they have fought southpaws, in fact nearly all trainers do this preparing for fights and you can see lots of examples of this on youtube, and it is generally considered the 'done' thing in all boxing gyms all over the world, if you had ever spent time in one you would have known this.
My original point is that this is the first time I have noticed that Floyd doesn't have a trainer who can do southpaw pads, that surprised me and I wonder if that harms his performance. He does his pads different to other fighters, and it is a unique routine to him, but in my opinion he would still benefit if it was done southpaw.Comment
