  • No BS that showtime first episode was probably better than all the 24/7's and all access I've ever seen. I never saw any of that old footage they used. My favorite part which would seem to be one of the most insignificant was when Floyd was amongst regular people as a kid trying to trade "Olympic game pins", you could see he was amazed at how "into" it the regular folk were and his competitive nature came out immediately when he threw out a pin that was probably exclusive to Olympians only, "hey what y'all gonna give me for this pin right here?" With a big smile on his face lol...

The dude only knows competition, which can bring about some flaws in a persons character but there's also something I personally admire about that... Especially when you're one of the best in the world at what you do.

    • The greatest thing about Floyd is how he does what he says...

How he never fights at catchweights, and how he never fought Pacquiao's leftovers.

      Amirite?

he is a man of few words, and he has a word of honor.

I thought it was great too and much better than the usual 24/7- All-Access type of shows. Great to see some of the old Floyd footage from his Olympic days. Some of the naysayers said they didn't like it and Showtime's production sucks. How so? I work in film/television and it was wonderfully produced. Looked great, great story, didn't paint Floyd to be perfect, left you wanting more. These so called boxing fans will complain about anything.

Hahaha Mayweather should audition to the sequel of the Robert De Niro/ Cuba Gooding Jnr film "Men of Honour". 2 and a half hours of twerking **********s, slapping random women on the street and buying expensive cars. Floyd is a lovely man.

            • 2 more saturdays and it's here.

I started watching some of the preview videos on demand and i'm hyped to **** right now. It's finally starting to kick in that this fight is actually happening.

In 2 more weeks we'll see Pac and Floyd in that ring, the first bell will sound and all the talk, all the posturing, all the delusions go flying out the window. All hell will break loose and we'll see history being written before our eyes, a fight that will be talked about for decades, with an outcome that crowns the king of an era.

I just hope Mayweather doesn't put on his track shoes. That's the worst thing that can happen.

                • Admittedly, I have not followed Pacquiao's career this close. I have seen numerous of his fights but never paid attention to all the pre fight talks and interviews.

But has Manny always showed this much confidence? I've always thought Pacquiao is a humble guy who always let his performance dictate the outcome of the fight until now...

Pacquiao is still humble, to me at least, but the way he spoke on numerous occasions about how confident he is in beating Mayweather speaks volumes. He's been on record saying he'll "easily" defeat the undefeated and there's a sense of ease in his sparring sessions. Is Manny not giving Floyd enough credit? Or have they really cracked the code and developed a blue print to penetrate Floyd's renowned defense? Keep in mind, this is a fight they've been mentally preparing for 5 years...

What the F? Are you new? He fought Marquez at catchweight and went over it. He just fought Canelo at a catchweight.

He fought Cotto and Marquez after Pacquiao fought them?
